Saeco Italia Espresso Machine Leak


It appears that the Saeco (Starbucks) Italia (SUP 021 YR) espresso machines will eventually develop a water leak. This video shows a common leak at a plastic value body (faucet body) which is attached to the steam knob. The leak occurs when steam knob is in the off position and machine is dispensing a shot of espresso.

    This is the same part as in my Gaggia Titanium. I heard that Gaggia bought Saeco. Gaggia calls the part a “Steam Valve”, however. Watch my video to see how I replaced it. ( less than $30 total in parts ).
